...about the pre-pregnancy jeans.
But honestly, if you saw me, it's not that big a deal. The pre-preggy jeans are still quite huge in themselves.
So I kind of coughed and swore at the computer this morning when I read this article in the Daily Mail about a lady who photographed herself throughout her pregnancy (Apparantly that's news now... ya know cos no one has ever done it before...)
This line in particular made me spit out my Coco pops in a fit of rage.
When I finally had to accept, at the end of month four, that I was now a whole dress size bigger, I actually cried - and went out to buy a pair of size 12 jeans.
Am I the only the one who thinks this brings smug to a new level? And yes I know it's all relative and she was a size 10 to start with but to be 16 weeks pregnant and have to buy a size 12... it's hardly a hardship now is it?

Madness! And yes, highly irritating!
Like THAT is news? Wow - shock horror ladies - when you grow a baby you get BIGGER and put on WEIGHT. You will need to wear LARGER clothes....
The whole tone of it worries (I see it was originally in Glamour - so probably aimed at women who haven't had children yet but are thinking about it one day - but it all seems quite remote and scary). The whole 'control over our bodies' thing and 'of course I was working right up until the very last moment'. Argh - can't we just chill and embrace the whole thing and accept that it IS a pretty big deal - you know, growing a whole new human being?
Oh and where are the after pics!? Common love - show us your stretch marks....
Massive congrats on getting in your jeans though! Oh and blogging! I am seriously impressed!!!
xxx
Hate to tell you this (snicker, snicker) but you might even go up in shoe size! ;-)
No baby here yet.....
I have to hope we're talking an American size 12 which is a UK size 16 - that would be fairer wouldnt it?! Fx
God don't get me started on this article. I am on pregnancy no.2 and I am already huge and only 28 weeks next week. My friend 2 months ahead of me is smaller!! My other friend who just had baby no.2lost a stone - a whole stone during her pregnancy - she is now the lightest ever (and had to buy new jeans - sickening!)
I don't know what to think when you see the French prime minister returning to work 5 days after a c-section. I had one of those with no.1 and I can tell you work didn't enter my head 5 months after let alone, 5 days.
