Note the progress

in the wee widget-y doodah which marks what progress I'm making on my next novel 'Finding Annie'.
I've set myself a 1000 words a day challenge - with the hope of reaching 50,000 words by this day week.
I'm in the writing zone so my writing efforts are going into fiction and not blogging at the moment - but please note some of the changes to this blog.
If you look at the sidebar you can now read extracts from all three of my books.
This week I'll add a diary which shows what I'm doing and when - and will hopefully highlight some press coverage also.

It's not really in my nature to push myself in this way - I'm really quite reserved (no laughing at the back) but needs must. It's a competitive industry out there!

Go you!!!

Now can you send me some of your writing energy cos mine is zilch at the moment. I have starred at the blank screen on the laptop far too much of late. Maybe I just need to buy a new mojo or something ummmmmm, unless it's hiding at the bottom of a vodka bottle, in which case I'm sure I'll find it soon enough :-) xx

Wow 1000 per day, are you writing full time now? I think I am just about managing that per week...

I can only really get writing quickly if I put the words down with a fountain pen and paper I type them up and rewrite afterwards... slows the whole thing down a bit but I just like writing that way, besides my typeing is awful and terribly slow...

No, not writing full time (although I'm not working at the moment as I'm on maternity leave) I'm just making sure to have a two hour window each evening where I absolutely must write.

It's the pressure of deadline doing it!
